Dave’s Garage was created to honor the life and legacy of its namesake, Dave Ochs, a devoted follower of Christ, loving husband and family man, trusted friend, and faithful elder of Emmanuel Church. Dave had a God-given talent for understanding engines and machinery, something that came in handy when a friend needed help with their car.
Dave used his mechanical skills to show love to his friends and family. He was the first to roll up his sleeves, get under the hood, and fix whatever seemed to be broken. Before his death, his retirement vision included opening a free auto repair shop to help single mothers, widows, and families facing hardship with vehicle repairs.
This fund helps fulfill Dave’s vision, combining compassion with practical help. Donations will go directly toward giving those in our community a helping hand with their vehicles and, in doing so, reflect Dave’s heart to glorify God through faithful service and hands-on care for those in need.
